done. If the lighting is "by itself" it won't affect anyone. That's the point of the studies: the fluorescent light's effects on a person, not the air in the room. And how is a fluorescent light study different in an office than in a mechanic's shop? Which location would the study be less obtrusive in? A cumulative exposure would be worse than a minimal or one-time exposure. He's probably going to be in his garage more than once working on his stuff, and for longer than an hour (?) and the point of the studies is that there is an effect. Seems like every time I walk into a shop, they've switched over to LED, and say it's brighter and more like sunlight.
